In the summer of 2012, we were both working as counselors at Ramah Day Camp in Nyack. At the end of the summer, we began a long-distance relationship (Matthew at Boston University and Adiel at Binghamton University). Our relationship grew throughout four years of college, and we were happy to both move back home to New York and finally to be in the same place. On August 5, 2017, after five years together, Matthew proposed with a scrapbook including pictures, ticket stubs, PlayBills and programs from all the events we had attended together over the years.
