Reshet Ramah Brings Young Alumni Families Together in NYC
Nearly 150 Ramah families and friends turned out on Sunday April 19 for the first Reshet Ramah Family Fun Day. Children of all ages came out for Ramah ruach in Riverside Park with activity leaders hailing from Berkshires, California, Darom, Poconos, and Nyack along with Super Soccer Stars. Face painting, sand art, a toddler play zone, gaga, and lawn games were all a part of the fun.
Of course, the best part was for the parents. Thanks to the Reshet Ramah Family Fun Day Steering Committee (Shara Lipson, Camp Ramah in Canada; Craig Goldstein and Alan Kaufman, Camp Ramah in the Poconos; Lesley Goldenberg; Camp Ramah in Wisconsin; and Shira Hichenberg, Camp Ramah in New England) young families from all camps came out for a Ramah community-building event.
“We come from all Ramah camps and from all different edot,” said Lesley. “But now that we’re grown up and living in NYC, it’s so great to have this sense that the Ramah community is here for us at this stage of our lives, too.”
