David Mitchell is a California Ramahnik who made aliyah in 1975. He wrote Ramah about his experience and decision to make aliyah.

Israel was a part of my life beginning from the home environment, to the synagogue, USY and Ramah. No less important was the fact that I taught Hebrew School while in college along with many Israeli teachers. All were part of the total psyche that got me to visit Israel after getting my BA, and feeling as if I had come home. My decision to stay was the satisfaction of Kibbutz life and the haverim of the kibbutz at Saad.
