Living in Israel gave me the feeling of being home, just like Ramah had done for me.

I never felt like I “fit in” any place else other than Ramah. Ramah was my home, and when I went home for the year I was a visitor. This feeling continued until I came to Israel to study for my junior year abroad. Living in Israel gave me the feeling of being home, just like Ramah had done for me. I talk to my Ramah friends all the time about the extent to which our Ramah experiences contributed to our decision to live in Israel. We always say that we’re not really sure where or who we’d be without our Ramah experiences.

I truly believe that without Ramah, my identity as a Jew and as a human being would be weaker. Ramah taught me lessons about life, friendship, religion, and love that I could not have learned anywhere else.
