About the Role
The Wellness Program at Hillel has 3 primary initiatives: (1) development and facilitation of wellness initiatives and psycho educational programming/ groups on campus of (2) identification of students in need of furthermore specialized support, and referral to appropriate community resources both at Hillel Ontario, and in the greater community (3) engagement and mentorship of Jewish students. By focusing on these three areas, we are better equipped to empower our students around their physical, psychological, social, and spiritual wellness.
What You’ll Bring
- A degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field (Masters level preferred)
- 3-5 years experience working in a social services or therapeutic environment
- Experience working with college-age students preferred
- Commitment to cultivating inclusive and welcoming environments
- Case management experience and desire to advocate for others
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organization, time management and multitasking abilities
- Self-starter, takes initiative, and motivated
- Works collaboratively in a team-based setting
What You’ll Do
- Work as part of the Hillel staff team to engage and involve Jewish students at Hillel.
- Support students at Hillel in the development and implementation of wellness-related events and activities.
- Oversee the infusion of wellness values into all programming at Hillel
- Provide in-the-moment support (mental health first aid) to students in crisis, case management, and referral to appropriate resources
- Maintain confidential records of students with whom there is involvement
What You’ll Receive
- Starting Salary of $55,000 plus benefits

- Weekly supervision from the campus director
- Ongoing support from the Therapist and Wellness professional at Hillel Ontario
- A cohort experience with professional development and support through Hillel Ontraio and Hillel International.
- Participation in a community of practice with professionals from Hillels across the movement
