Are you looking to enhance Jewish student life on campus? Hillel Waterloo and Laurier is in search of an Engagement and Advocacy Coordinator to lead the charge in creating a welcoming, inclusive, and dynamic Jewish community on campus. This role has opportunity to empower students, combat antisemitism, and build meaningful relationships.

Your Key Responsibilities
Student Leadership Development

  • Mentor and nurture student leaders and foster a caring, inclusive community.
  • Guide student boards and committees, identifying growth opportunities in leadership and Jewish engagement.Connect with emerging leaders and inspire them to take on leadership roles on campus.

Engagement

  • Design and implement strategic programs that ensure a strong Jewish presence.
  • Reach out to Jewish students in creative ways, meeting them where they are to ignite their interest.
  • Engage with less active students, creating tailored opportunities that resonate with their unique needs.
  • Cultivate ongoing, positive relationships with students and key campus partners.
  • Master social media to amplify Hillel’s brand and optimize student engagement.

Program Development

  • Support and attend student-led initiatives, bringing your enthusiasm and expertise to every event.
  • Identify and pioneer new program areas to connect with diverse student populations.
  • Lead Hillel’s Israel engagement strategy on campus.
  • Manage the logistics for large-scale events and support professional development opportunities.
  • Develop programming for various Jewish micro-communities, ensuring everyone has a place to belong.

Administrative Excellence

  • Collaborate with marketing & communications teams to create compelling materials.
  • Ensure accurate data management within the CRM system.
  • Contribute to Hillel Ontario’s larger initiatives, from regional campaigns to special projects and fundraising efforts.
