Please join members of the Ramah community as we explore Budapest and western Ukraine, including general and Jewish heritage sites in the Carpathian Mountains, this summer.

In addition to Budapest, we will visit Mukachevo (Munkatch), Debrecen, and Uzhgorod in a region that was the heart of Hasidism, home to hundreds of thousands of Jews for generations prior to World War II, and which now has a growing Jewish community. The trip also includes a visit to Camp Ramah Yachad, a Ukrainian Masorti summer camp for hundreds of Ukrainian Jewish children. A group of teens from our own North American Ramah camps will be volunteering as counselors there as part of a pilot program.

The trip will cost $1,200, including four nights in luxury hotels (double occupancy), ground transportation, and group meals. Participants will book their own flights. The group will meet at the Budapest airport by 10 a.m. on Monday, August 1. (Late arrivals can meet the group at the hotel.) The trip concludes after breakfast in Budapest on Friday, August 5.
