Noah had just returned from a two-week trip to Israel to be a junior counselor in 2003. He was showing his pictures from Israel to a friend, and Shira peeked over to get a look. We spent the next few days getting to know each other through long conversations while on shmira, late nights at Friendly’s, and planning peulot. For the first few years of our relationship, we were in college in different states (NY and MD), and the two months of camp each summer became the foundation of our relationship.
