Missy had broken her ankle and was homebound. She came for visiting day, and her friends convinced her to stay and work for the second month. One of the families needed a baby sitter for their daughter so she took the job.

We met shortly after she came to camp. We continued to date for the next year, and became engaged the summer of 1987.

We married on August 14, 1988.
