Emerging Jewish Leaders Teaching Fellows make a difference in the lives of children, and leave a lasting impact on the Ithaca Jewish community. Teaching Fellows will expand their facility with traditional Jewish texts, and will gain hands-on skills working with both children and adults. While developing skills and knowledge regarding best practices in education, fellows will experience being part of a vibrant, diverse Jewish community.

Over the course of the ten month fellowship experience (mid-August through mid-June), fellows will receive a $3600 stipend, access to workshops with leaders in the field, personalized guidance in pedagogical skills and expanded content knowledge, individualized mentoring and feedback, and a series of group training exercises tailored to their specific needs.

This fellowship is open to current undergraduate and graduate students and recent college graduates. Applicants must reside in the greater Ithaca, New York area, and must be available for in-person observation and supervised teaching on Sunday mornings and Wednesday afternoons.
