Ideal Candidate:

Understands academic, social and behavioral characteristics for middle school students
Creates a positive structured learning environment
Meets the needs of a range of students, providing extra support, enrichment, or variation of work
Has strong instructional skills and classroom management
Has familiarity with Reading/Writing Workshop
Incorporates social emotional learning into student experiences
·         Commits to school community through work with colleagues and participation in school events


Responsibilities Include

·         Planning for and teaching 6th grade Humanities classes

·         Leading an advisory group with curated activities throughout the school year

·         Determining students’ academic and social emotional learning goals and ensuring that they’re met

·         Designing experiential, project-based learning that is relevant and real-world



• Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s preferred

• Certification in appropriate Middle School discipline
• Minimum 3 years’ experience
