Description

Clinton Hill Cashmere is looking for an energetic and self-motivated Marketing & Communications intern to join our team. If you’re an ambitious individual who wants to build a career in social media and marketing, then we want to work with you. We’re looking for a self-starter with strong interests in branding, writing, graphic design, social media, and community. As a Marketing & Communications intern, you will support existing initiatives including but not limited to social media, brand strategy, content creation, advertising campaigns, etc. To be successful, you’ll need to be able to think creatively, be self-motivated, and produce detailed work. 

Responsibilities

  • Assist with social media, marketing, and communications, including community management 
  • Assist with content creation for pr, marketing, and social media across various platforms
  • Collect and maintain a strong library of stories and photos
  • Help in the creation of email marketing campaigns
  • Work both independently and within a small but mighty team

CORIPHERY Holistic Consulting Solutions is a small social impact consulting practice that promotes ‘respectful disruption’ in organizational culture and systems by challenging the status quo through audacious authenticity and putting relationships at the core of our work.  We advise senior leaders on program optimization, reimagining priorities for improved culture and efficiency, and designing transformative experiences. Gigantic Pictures

Location: Remote or in-person options (New York, NY)

Gigantic Pictures, an independent film and documentary production company located in Chelsea, is looking for dedicated, fast-learners interested in both narrative and documentary films, who want to obtain first-hand and practical experience in the industry. As part of Gigantic, you will be working in a close-knit office, directly assisting producers Jason Orans, Pamela Ryan and the rest of the Gigantic staff.

Gigantic Pictures works with a small group of interns who we aim to equip with the practical knowledge and skills required for many entry-level film jobs, as well as those that can be applied to their own work. Each intern’s experience is unique as we try, whenever possible, to focus intern projects on each individual’s interests, current abilities, and future aspirations. Some of our more general tasks range from creative projects, covering phones and the front desk, to completing research and script coverage, and assisting in necessary runs. In addition to working alongside the heads of Gigantic Pictures, interns also provide support for our writers, directors, and outside collaborators.

In light of COVID-19, our internship is available to both local (in-person) and remote applicants. In the event we are forced to transition to fully remote work, local applicants should be prepared to transition to a fully remote situation.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong writing and analytical skills that will be employed while crafting executive summaries, letters and script coverage for our director of development 
  • Organization and troubleshooting skills
  • Though significant film experience is a plus, this is a great opportunity for those who have little background in film but do possess a great attitude, and are eager to learn.

M&H Promotions

M&H Promotions is a full-service advertising specialties company offering a wide range of promotional items to promote companies.

The Website Maintenance Intern will work on getting the website cleaned up and modernized, as well as assisting with social media accounts. This is a spring internship with the potential to turn into a year-round opportunity. Nourishing the Soul Workshops

NTS is a national non-profit organization providing spiritual educational workshops, adolescent curricula and leadership training to organizations, schools, and religious institutions. NTS virtual and in-person programs engage adults, teens and seniors in deep conversation that connects our actions, relationships and everyday reality to the richness and diversity of Jewish thought and tradition.

NTS Spring Interns will be part of a collaborative team that offers rare opportunities for professional growth, access and mentoring with an inside look at building a change-making non-profit.

Interns will support: 

  • Web design/CRM: Both creative and back-end website management
  • Social Media/Marketing strategy and design for community engagement (Facebook, LinkedIn).

Pelham Jewish Center

Location: Pelham Manor, NY (in-person)

Description 

The Pelham Jewish Center is looking for a qualified intern to join our Religious School team. Our Religious School is called the “Learning Center”, a small and vibrant learning community. Classes meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-6 PM at our Synagogue, located at 451 Esplanade, Pelham Manor, NY. 

We are seeking an intern who can provide one-on-one assistance to a second grade student with developmental issues. This intern should be prepared to work in a small classroom, create connections and learn from our veteran teachers. The intern will enjoy our caring and loving work environment and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of special education and Jewish education as well. 

Responsibilities 

  • Support a 7 year-old student in the Kitah Bet classroom 
  • Assist the student with understanding instructions, reading and writing the Hebrew letters, participating in classroom activities, processing information. 
  • Maintain contact with the student’s family if needed 
  • Track the student’s progress and communicate with the teacher, educator director, and/or family if necessary 
  • Show up on Tuesdays and Thursdays, at 4:00 PM, to welcome the student into class and remain next to the student for the duration of class, until 6:00 PM. 

Requirements 

  • Undergraduate student in New York or Westchester majoring in Education, Early Childhood, Special Education, Psychology, Jewish Studies, Social Work, or a related area 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Driven and hard-working
  • Ability to take direction and multi-task

Perelman Jewish Day School

At Perelman Jewish Day School, we teach our kids to think differently. We encourage them to interpret, reason and see the world through an integrated dual language curriculum. In an atmosphere rich with Jewish culture, our teachers inspire children to understand, embrace, and take pride in the knowledge, faith and values of their own heritage while respecting diverse cultures, lifestyles and beliefs. 

We encourage children to understand ethics, morals and values through a Jewish lens. Our program is responsive to the learning style and the social, emotional and intellectual development of each student. At Perelman, the curriculum reflects our mandate to help children grow into caring adults who truly embrace and understand their obligation to Tikkun Olam, repairing the world. Social responsibility is a continuous and powerful part of everything we do. 

The Ramah Internship is available from May 2 – June 17, 2022 at the school’s Wynnewood, PA campus. A Ramah intern at Perelman will have a variety of opportunities to develop formal and informal educational skills while working with 

our students. The intern will join a grade-level faculty team to assist in daily activities and to plan special holiday programs, grade level events and Gesher (fifth grade graduation). 

We hope to mentor a madrich/a or Rosh Aidah who is passionate about Jewish education and Jewish life. Knowledge of Hebrew language, Israeli music, dance and culture is particularly useful as is programming experience – and the ability to work in a team is essential. School days begin at 8:00 AM and end at 3:45 PM. A full letter of recommendation will be provided to interns successfully completing the program at Perelman.

Reagan Presidential Library

Location: Most likely remote

As a Presidential Library administered by the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), the Reagan Library, under the authority of the Presidential Records Act, is the repository of the presidential records for President Reagan’s administration.

Situation Room Experiences are technically integrated role-playing crisis simulations. In these high-intensity, collaborative decision-making scenarios, information moves quickly and every individual choice has consequences. Because participant input shapes the experience, no simulation is ever the same.

The education intern will work with the Situation Room Experience team to administer our in-person and virtual simulations. Interns will gain valuable experience with teacher workshops, lesson plan research and relevant social media and blog postings.

Knowledge and Background:

  • We are looking for a student who loves history, civics, and education. This student must enjoy working with original archival documents and a variety of audiences including students ages 6-60 plus. 
  • Social media and writing skills are a big plus!
  • Administrative duties include occasional data entry, emailing and phone banking.

Restless Books

Restless Books, a non-profit international book publisher, is seeking a qualified intern to work within and contribute to our Development department. 

Reporting to the Development Director, the Development Intern will support Restless Books’ fundraising initiatives through a variety of critical responsibilities, including — but not limited to —preparing acknowledgment letters and other correspondence, maintaining donor records, contributing to research projects, and event planning. The Development Intern will play a key role in the 2022 Spring Campaign by assisting with campaign outreach, maintaining the website, tracking donor interactions, and assisting in supporting the stewardship of donors. 

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Assist in general donor stewardship 
  • Communicate with current and prospective donors 
  • Help maintain and update donor databases and donor page 
  • Assist in organizing day-to-day communications with donors 
  • Assist in drafting fundraising emails

Rise Gatherings

Overview

Seeking interns interested in joining a dynamic organization dedicated to women’s empowerment. 

Rise Gatherings invites and emboldens women to grow, learn and evolve. As part of that mission, the organization has had an intern program for five years.  Rise Gatherings Interns assist with all operations of the business and have the opportunity to contribute to and learn more about business operations, marketing, communications, event planning, transformational experiences and the wellness industry –  as well as learn about themselves in the process.  This is a part-time position with an estimated work week of 5 – 10 hours.

The position will involve a range of duties to support Rise Gatherings experiences and business operations. We like to ask our interns, “what do you want to learn and what are your interests and skills?” and design an internship that meets their needs and ours.  Interns work closely with and receive mentoring and training from Rise Gatherings Co-CEO’s, Rachel Rubin and Tami Astorino, as well as all the members of the Rise Team.
