Gigantic Pictures

Gigantic Pictures, an independent film and documentary production company located in Chelsea, is looking for dedicated, fast-learners interested in both narrative and documentary films, who want to obtain first-hand and practical experience in the industry. As part of Gigantic, you will be working in a close-knit office, directly assisting producers Jason Orans, Pamela Ryan and the rest of the Gigantic staff.
Gigantic Pictures works with a small group of interns who we aim to equip with the practical knowledge and skills required for many entry-level film jobs, as well as those that can be applied to their own work. Each intern’s experience is unique as we try, whenever possible, to focus intern projects on each individual’s interests, current abilities, and future aspirations. Some of our more general tasks range from creative projects, covering phones and the front desk, to completing research and script coverage, and assisting in necessary runs. In addition to working alongside the heads of Gigantic Pictures, interns also provide support for our writers, directors, and outside collaborators.
In light of COVID-19, our internship is available to both local (in-person) and remote applicants. In the event we are forced to transition to fully remote work, local applicants should be prepared to transition to a fully remote situation.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong writing and analytical skills that will be employed while crafting executive summaries, letters and script coverage for our director of development

Global Jewish Pen Pal Program

The Global Jewish Pen Pal Program matches Jews from around the world as pen pals in order to help people learn more about Jewish life in other countries. The goal of the Global Jewish Pen Pal Program is to remedy the lack of connections between Jews from all over the world, specifically between Jews in different parts of the diaspora. We supplement the experience that people have communicating with their pen pals through a variety of online events for the Global Jewish Pen Pal Program participants.

Pelham Jewish Center

Description
The Pelham Jewish Center is looking for a qualified intern to join our Religious School team. Our Religious School is called the “Learning Center”, a small and vibrant learning community. Classes meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-6 PM at our Synagogue, located at 451 Esplanade, Pelham Manor, NY.
We are seeking an intern who can provide one-on-one assistance to a second grade student with developmental issues. This intern should be prepared to work in a small classroom, create connections and learn from our veteran teachers. The intern will enjoy our caring and loving work environment and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of special education and Jewish education as well.
Responsibilities
- Support a 7 year-old student in the Kitah Bet classroom
- Assist the student with understanding instructions, reading and writing the Hebrew letters, participating in classroom activities, processing information.
- Maintain contact with the student’s family if needed
- Track the student’s progress and communicate with the teacher, educator director, and/or family if necessary
- Show up on Tuesdays and Thursdays, at 4:00 PM, to welcome the student into class and remain next to the student for the duration of class, until 6:00 PM.

The Ramah Internship is available from May 2 – June 17, 2022 at the school’s Wynnewood, PA campus. A Ramah intern at Perelman will have a variety of opportunities to develop formal and informal educational skills while working with
our students. The intern will join a grade-level faculty team to assist in daily activities and to plan special holiday programs, grade level events and Gesher (fifth grade graduation).
We hope to mentor a madrich/a or Rosh Aidah who is passionate about Jewish education and Jewish life. Knowledge of Hebrew language, Israeli music, dance and culture is particularly useful as is programming experience – and the ability to work in a team is essential. School days begin at 8:00 AM and end at 3:45 PM. A full letter of recommendation will be provided to interns successfully completing the program at Perelman.

As a Presidential Library administered by the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), the Reagan Library, under the authority of the Presidential Records Act, is the repository of the presidential records for President Reagan’s administration.
Situation Room Experiences are technically integrated role-playing crisis simulations. In these high-intensity, collaborative decision-making scenarios, information moves quickly and every individual choice has consequences. Because participant input shapes the experience, no simulation is ever the same.
The education intern will work with the Situation Room Experience team to administer our in-person and virtual simulations. Interns will gain valuable experience with teacher workshops, lesson plan research and relevant social media and blog postings.
Knowledge and Background:
- We are looking for a student who loves history, civics, and education. This student must enjoy working with original archival documents and a variety of audiences including students ages 6-60 plus.
- Social media and writing skills are a big plus!

Restless Books, a non-profit international book publisher, is seeking a qualified intern to work within and contribute to our Development department.
Reporting to the Development Director, the Development Intern will support Restless Books’ fundraising initiatives through a variety of critical responsibilities, including — but not limited to —preparing acknowledgment letters and other correspondence, maintaining donor records, contributing to research projects, and event planning. Overview
Seeking interns interested in joining a dynamic organization dedicated to women’s empowerment.
Rise Gatherings invites and emboldens women to grow, learn and evolve. As part of that mission, the organization has had an intern program for five years. Rise Gatherings Interns assist with all operations of the business and have the opportunity to contribute to and learn more about business operations, marketing, communications, event planning, transformational experiences and the wellness industry – as well as learn about themselves in the process. This is a part-time position with an estimated work week of 5 – 10 hours.
